Covenants Do's and Don'ts

QUICK REFERENCE

Boats – small boats with trailer no longer than 25’ may be parked on property provided they are screened from view from the street and neighbors.

Dogs - the Island Club has a leash rule. Dogs must be on a leash when off of the owner’s property

Fences - if you're adding a fence you must submit a plan to the architectural review board for approval prior to work being started.

Fishing - residents and guests of residents are permitted to fish on "the owners" property or common areas.

Garage and Estate Sales – “Move-out” garage sales and Estate sales are permitted with restrictions. Contact Great Oaks Property for details (638-0877).

Home Improvements - any exterior alteration to a home must be submitted to "the architectural review committee" for approval prior to work beginning.

Landscaping - any changes in landscaping must be submitted to the "architectural review committee".

Storage Sheds - any structure added to your property must be submitted for approval to the "architectural review board" prior to work being done.

Structures - any structure added to your property must be submitted for approval to the "architectural review board" prior to work being done.

Swing Sets, Tree houses and Playhouses - plans must for approval must be submitted to the "architectural review board" prior to installation.

Trash Cans and Receptacles – trash cans and receptacles must be stored in an area not visible from the street. They may be placed on the street the evening before trash pick up and must be returned to their storage area by the evening of the pick up day.

Tree removal - removal of any tree over 10" in diameter (measured 4’ from the ground) must be approved by the "architectural review committee".
